Divide and Conquer

Last Friday to this Monday was my turn. Darren left today until Monday. This is what you do when you have a perpetual 2 year old and want to see your kid who plays college baseball. Or see the other kid who is also out of state for college. Divide and conquer.

Our kids truly have the best Grandmas. They have done so much for us over the years. Darren and I also learned that we wanted them to watch all 3 monsters at once so we could get away alone. Vegas, more Vegas, some RunDisney races, and wine weekends have kept us two sane these past 26 years.

So when it came to weekends when one of the boys needed us it was full on divide and conquer. Still is. Even more so now. Is that bad? No. Is it sometimes sad? Yes. having to decide who will help a kid move to college, get settled in a dorm is a shit conversation to have. And me being who I am, said it will be me getting them settled. Darren knew I needed those conquers.

Sam has been through a lot in the last month. I’ve had a bit too much wine to write about that tonight. It involves a cavity, a root canal, a mass in her hip, and assholes who made us decide to get vaccinated.

Hayden did pitch complete game for the WIN!
I swear there were no chair beers in this photo

Cheers.
